In my opinion, circuits are the best form of exercise. They involve both cardio and strength movements to help rev up your metabolism. Circuits quickly convert stubborn fat to muscle. Even better, they can produce amazing results in a fraction of the time compared to other exercises.
Here at Tension Toner, we have created an exercise routine around the concept of what we call Tension Circuits. I personally have used this in my training regimen for years.
This different type of training forces your body to go outside its comfort zone. When we do the same routines over and over, our results flat-line. If you do not mix up your routine, your results will not be as impressive as you want. Keep reading and see how Tension Circuits can help you, whether you're a fitness veteran or new to working out.
Before we get into Tension Circuits, here's a quick refresher on standard circuits.
What is a Circuit?
A circuit is a rotation through a series of exercises. Once one exercise is complete, you move onto the next exercise with little to no rest. When you complete the line-up of exercises, you have completed the first circuit. At that point, the next circuit begins. You cycle through the same line-up, starting with the first exercise.
What are Tension Circuits?
Tension Circuits are a like traditional circuits in the sense that they are performed in a series and taking rest as needed between exercises. However, the Tension Circuits focus on the type of workouts performed. They most often require a towel or some pulling device used for resistance to engage your muscles in a full range motion or in a fixed position. As a result, this increases your power and speed without the need of any weights or machines.
